Penny has extensive experience singing as a solo act in pubs/clubs in London, Herts & Cambs. She was the lead singer in the six piece Cambridgeshire function band "Something for the weekend" in 2004/5 after which she left to join a melodic folk rock band - Zuleika, writing all the vocal melodies & lyrics to original guitar instrumental pieces.

She also stands in for for several different function bands, including "Bottled Out". Penny counts Stevie Nicks, All About Eve, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Cranberries, The Police, Blondie, Mike Oldfield & Thin Lizzy as her influences
